Accelerator Pedal

I seem to have a problem with the accelerator pedal, in all the other micra's and cars you get a pedal that is sensitive. Mine takes a little press before you to get to the point of acceleration, that makes the drive less smooth, it jerks when I let go of it even if let go smoothly. What do you think the problem is here?

Your accel' pedeal has a cable which pulls when you press the accel pedal. Make sure the cable is tight enough.

you should be able to adjust this in the engine bay.

the throttle cable swoops over the engine cover and onto the throttle body under the airbox. the black outer cable is anchored to the throttle body by two nuts which tightens against a support bracket whilst the inner throttle cable is what controls the throttle butterfly.

after removing the airbox for access
you adjust the cable by simply loosening the two nuts then (facing the engine) turn the nut nearest to you clockwise to tighten or vice versa
then tighten the back nut against the front to lock it against the bracket and ur done.
