As far as im aware, drums off, either brake shoes and mechanism out or the main assembly off the hub to make it easier

No need to take the shoes out. Just undo the rear hub nut, slide the hub unit off the spindle, secure on vice and the studs just hammer off.
Place new studs on hub and use the wheel & nuts to 'pull' the stud back into the hub. Then refit the hub onto spindle
they're the same as vauxhall. M12X1.25 i got them for mine and they work great.
The size in length is 2.5 inch for the vauxhall which demon-tweeks states, whats the length of an original stud of the micra?
