51 plate 1.0 sport (the granny wagon)

Hi folks
Well today I finally got my 1st Micra and 1st jap car,it's a little 51 plate 1.0 sport in black and was bought for a reasonable £150 as had failed mot on corrosion issues,the last owner didn't have the fail sheet there but I know it needs the crossmember doing aswell as the sills but the plan was always to learn skills I don't have just now,my plan is to build my ultimate little jap rocket so I'll go through the basics.

Uprated suspension and brakes
Ignis sport recaro fishnets and false floor in rear
Pre facelift with sr/super s bumpers and nismo kit
Nismo spoiler and March mid spoiler
Hopefully find some 14" split rims
And if I can I'll try and get a hold of other March parts to add to it.

Well I got the car running today and it runs sweet I must say,turned out the alternator was seized so it was sorted out and unsiezed aswell as throwing a decent charged battery on too,first turn of the key and it burst into life so today I'm mega happy haha

Cheers I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with it,bodywork isn't the greatest but I'll be taking my time to do it right and get it resprayed in the original black,I'm also going to keep the facelift front but add a lip to bumper and smooth it in as its going to look better as a whole package that way,also chosen wheels I'm going to get for it when the time comes and the interior plan is still recaros and I think I'll keep rear seats in it and get them trimmed to match the fronts etc,progress will be slow but I'm hoping for something that will be on par with some of the builds by big name Japanese companies as that's where I've set my standards haha

Been looking into front lips so far this morning and I'm really liking the look of the one off the proton satria above,I'm thinking of adapting one and smoothing it in to the bumper to make something a little different

Not really an update but come pay day the 1st bits for getting the body sorted are getting ordered,can't wait haha and I've also chosen wheels for when the time comes to buy new ones

15x7" et40 rota hm3's are on the cards as I absolutely love 3 spokes and they have a classic Japanese design to them which is exactly what I'm after.
Anyway cheers and hopefully next update will be more of an update than blabbing s**t haha

Not a big update but got the front crossmember for the car so that now means that once I've got the time tear down will commence to get that sorted out,whilst it's on the ramp I'll go through everything aswell and cut out any rot.Been looking at what engine to put in the car and had been speaking to Mark Tracey about his glanza powered k11 but feel it would be wrong to take the uniqueness away from his car by doing that conversion on mine so the plan is to build a forged and boosted 1.4 and try to get a reliable 200+bhp with a low boost setting for use if it has to be daily driven or used about town and a high boost setting for track and scaring myself senseless.
Sorry about the lack of updates etc I'm going to try and get more done to the car as soon as I can stop for a spare few hours haha

Finally got started on stripping the front end ready for the crossmember to be replaced,what an absolute pain the bumper is to come off especially when you snap 2 bolts and have to use the force to find the ones you can't see haha,found a couple of other bits that need welding but there's less than I thought there would be so I'm pretty chuffed to say the least,,once I've got cash I'm going to get paint to do the black insert mod on my headlights which I think will tidy up the car and tie in better,once the weldings been done its going back to the garage at my house so I can begin to do a few bits and bobs before I get it resprayed in the original pearlescent black.
Never got many pics but I'll stop blabbing so you can see how sad the poor car looks.

Not really much to update on with the little k11 but I have been putting plans together and personally I think if I can pull them off its going to be something special,decided that it's definitely getting a turbo build though so I'm looking forward to getting that started once I've done the bodywork

Not been on in a while and I'll be honest not much has happened to the little k11 in the time I've not been on.
The crossmember and front inner wings have been welded up and I started to take the bump strips off but I'm going to need to get some pics as that was about a month ago now haha,still haven't received my documents for the car yet so the dvla are going to be getting a phone call as that's near 4 months I've been waiting.
