1989 k10 cv joint help please!!!!

Hi there can anyone help a newbie

I have a G reg 1989 nissan micra 1l ls 3d (only had it 4 days)

What I need to know is how do I find out if my lil micra has 21 or 23 splines on the cv joint?
I am looking at replacing it and have been told that they changed them in 1989 and I need to find out which 1 mine is before I go and buy it.
My thinking is that because my car was, according to the paperwork, first registered 20/12/1989 that it would be the newer 1 but I'm not sure.
Also, silly how do we go about changing it? We don't have a manual yet so any advice is hugely appreciated

It is a facelift type as its later in the year type, hence G reg

Your be better off buying a hanyes manual, only about £5 on ebay

Yes we are in the process of e-baying while doing this as we are desperate for a manual.

take off ur wheel...undo the hub take out a drive and count them...handiest way out and its a easy job
