12V Socket - Wont work when the lights are on?

Heya Everyone,

So today, I fitted a 12v Lighter socket to my K11, Vibe.

It works, fine, and charges my SatNav nicely. But when driving at night, with the car lights on, it wont power. Is there a bypass for this?

i wud imagine not. u may jst have to find a constant 12v supply mate

have you wired it in yourself

you have wired it up wrong mate it should be wired into the ignition live

To be honest, I wired it into some plugs that were where the lighter socket should be, anyone got any pics of what it 'SHOULD' look like? Il try and take a few pics of what ive done in a minute.

isnt the plug for the lighter socket under the carpet on the driver side? you'll need to remove the cubby hole thing lol. thats where i found mine
