is how long my latest insurance claim is taking. This is a total joke, whats the point in insurance when they are pathetically slow? i want to sell the car and get something 2.0L and jap, but i can't sell it while its damaged. I am so sick of them and there's nothing i can do to speed up the process

I waited a month for my stolen fiesta, the insurance cost £1650 and after a month they gave me £150 and wrote the car off. Insurance is just another way of having your money stolen off you.

keep ringing them hassling them all the time (if you can, i used the phone at work so it was free)... i rang them that much they knew me, and when i got thru to them it was "oh ffs not u again" tone they had.

had my claim settled in 3 or 4 weeks i gave them as much ####e as possible til everything was sorted. im impatient, and get bored at work

they were waiting for a police report, after that im going to hassle them daily.

not at all. Someone overshot a round-a-bout and went into my front side. Dented the wing and door.

mine took me about 8 weeks mate, the police reports is what held my case up too. For ome reason the police dont place it as a high priority

a landrover took me off the road june 2004 by november they came to collect my damaged escort!!!!!!!!hold in there give em both barrells!!!!!!

Mine took 12 weeks. The company dealing with it were crap. Just ring them up daily and give them grief until they pull there finger out.

Have you been doing anything to persue it?

other company finally admitted liability and the police report magically turned up while we rang up to shout at them.

My claim back in Jan 2006 took about 4weeks for them to pay out but around 14months to get the confirmation letter from them that everything had been settled.
