1.4 conversion and insurance cost

I've searched and I couldn't find a definitive answer to this..

I have a 1.0 coil pack and want to put a 1.4 in it. How much extra would that cost me to insure roughly? I'm 23 with no ncd

My current insurer Admiral won't insure my car if I swap the engine. Just wondering how much people pay for their engine swapped cars?

Since the other option is to just buy a 1.4 car

Just buy a 1.4 would be my advice......it's going to be expensive to insure though.

seconded, it's crazy to think that the car with the engine swap will be considerably more to insure than a standard 1.4 car, even though both are in effect identical.

I remember from my mini days that it was cheaper to insure a 1.3 mini cooper than it was to insure a standard mini modified to cooper spec. However, my first micra was a 1.0, and my current one is a 1.4 and the insurance costs .............. the same.

I couldnt beleive it either. The 1.0 couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding compared to the 1.4 which, when the weathers right, goes like a scalded cat.
