1.3 Super S ECU on a 1.0 ?

Silly question #31:
does a 1.3 ECU fit straight on a 1.0 and does it give any advantage ?
I'm asking because I went to see a 1.3 crashed in a scrapeyard and can get it for cheap

aparently the maps are very similar. so, no no real gain you could always get the engine out of it thought

The 1.3 has less ignition timing, so I would leave your 1.0 ECU in place

Nodd: the car is so badly crashed in the front that I can't take the engine, but the dials with rev counter, one question btw, does the mileage in KM already done displayed will be mine, or 1.3 engine ?

mine,s been ok matt, and i dont know if you gain or lose a couple of hp with the extra total ignition advance ? fwn

its probably of benefit if you have stock compression ratio (i think its a hindrance if you raise your C/R tho)

will display the 1.3 engine but you can always swap over the middle unit inside the dials if you take it all apart, then you can retain you mileage or if you feel bad and invincible get a pin or something an change the 1.3 clocks to meet the mileage of your original dials.
