Thanks for the offer. I have been forced to reconsider.
My smoking K10 has been whisked away by a banger racer and my wife's overheating problems were down to her running the poor thing without oil.
So... it looks like there is life in it yet. £50 is a good price though. Hopefully when I have absorbed the cost of two new shocks and a RH brake cable I will go for a swap again.
