right FRIDAY 13TH of MARCH getting my engine conversion done by kristian.. carnt wait looking so forward 2 it woooooo :)
have some more power under my right foot now :)

Sure you want to get it done on that date? lol!
NAh mate, good luck - hope it all goes well! Make sure you declare it with insurance and DVLA (Y)

With this conversion taking place, will insurance companies just see this 1.3 converted Micra and a standard 1.3 Micra from the factory?

they will more than likely class it as a modified 1.0 so they can get more cash out of you. it'd be easier and cheaper just to buy a 1.3. and that is coming from experience.

Well I don't know from experience, but that is personally what I'd think they'd see it as too. At the end of the day it is a 1.0 Micra that they already knew of with a 1.3 engine conversion in. I doubt they'd see it as just a 1.3 Micra. You are enhancing the power, after all.

We'd rate this as the 1.3 but that doesn't necessarily mean it would cost the same to insure as a standard 1.3.
This is not the sort of car you can insure via online price comparison sites etc.. due to the engine conversion, the car will need a specialist insurer.

Companies like flux won't insure anyone under 21 with a engine conversion...reason why so many novas corsa's etc are not declared

yeah all just pay what ever it cost to get it insured..
looking forward to it now though.. 4days to go :)

yeah well after get engine fitted want a 4-2-1 manifold then wont be much between me and jim_bling a hope lol
