Abit late on updating blog but here's a catch up from last week Crossmember done + Coated with under seal to prevent rust.... Hope I never have to do another one ever again lol

oops sorry just notice its a automatic 1.0 engine ecu I'd defo get the 1.3 manual ecu

According to a lot of people on here it will run with the 1.0 ecu but you might under fuel. I'd say if your wanting the engine to run more effectively get the 1.3 ecu aswell.

en fixing/painting a old little metal tool box my grandad left me. Should do nicely to keep all my bits and bobs in Bertha's boot :) If I've got time tonight after work I might do CV boots as well.

Hi everyone I'm looking for a cga3de ( 1.4 engine 00-03 ) to replace my 1.0 coilpack engine which I have in atm. I'm after a fairly low mileage engine 80k or less. Or if there is a 1.4 k11 for sale for the right price i'll be interested in that.

I've just done my crossmember. It depends on the garage but the one I use to work at says its a fail. As its main structural part of chassis. My MOT due in December so thought I'd start getting to work before the bad weather comes. This may help give you a ruff idea what your car needs aswell...

What you think they are @frank It's just a breakers yard so mileage pobs won't be legit. Open, semi or closed? Ps I'm new to this but Am I right in thinking closed is stronger?

How much would you say a 1.4 engine should cost @frank with around 40k on it?

Really :D I was thinking I would have to change all sorts. Would my 1 litre gear box run on it? Am I also right in thinking I'll need a 1.4 Ecu? @frank
