i dont have a clue lol i just thought i might be able to get something to plug into the laptop then into the ecu to alter the maps but after a bit of digging it looks like there is no such thing unless i win the lottery. its really my first punt at the ecu side of things its not my greatest area...

the kit for remapping that i can hook up to a laptop i idealy want to map my own car first then if i can manage it i will look at doing other cars. i just don't know which kit to look at getting.

right i have a boot lid so thats one less thing to do lol i will get some more bits done this week and i should have it on the road by january. god this has been a long project lol i need to get some pics and a few vids up as ive kept promising lol.

well i have been having a bit of a think im tempted to get a remapping kit but im unsure of which kit to get i will want to do numerous cars including nissan of course lol. can anyone recommend anything? i will practice on mine first :laugh: cheers

yeah i agree with gts but it could of been anyone damn ######ers mate i hope you get it back. i know what its like when i had my corolla parked some tw*ts broke into it and stole the seats and my tools and pretty much everything else that was in the car. there is a lot of scum about.

oh and cam bearing caps arn't a lot i usually do mine by guess with a spanner but i don't reccomend it if you dont trust yourself cause the are so easy to de-thread. and use a bit of locktite

frank will know but if i remeber rightly its a 3 stage tightening sequence up to around 90nm? let someone else clarify tho cause its been a while since i looked at the haynes and ive lost the file lol.

yeah as long as the taper is the same as superls says you will be fine i used steel nuts on every car ive had with alloys never once had an issue
