even though youve changed the carb, it sounds like the auto choke is playing up. But check vacuum pipes and ignition timing 1st.

ive already got my hands on one (off a mk1 caddy) but it doesnt look good with the facelift bumpers. If I had preface lift bumpers so I could attach the splitter to the valance then it would look good.

The boost sensor alters the ignition timing depending on the load on the engine. with it disconnected, it will be only good in 1 certain place and not the whole load range of the engine.

would you mind going into a bit of detail please :) Do you have the ecc control ignition timing? and with the ammount of vacum pipes on the ecc manifold, do you know which one he specifially blocked off? Also when he 'did the timing' do you know what he did? did he just advance it a little?

nvm after reading the haynes manual, im correct. As it tells you to disconnect the boost (map) sensor when setting the ignition timing

??? Pre-facelift and facelift wings are the same except the facelift wings have an extra hole drilled in them for the front bumper mounts/ Heres mine with prefacelift front end but using facelift wings I didnt have to do any modifications for the front grille or bonnet hinges to fit them...

still no luck with the wheel nuts for the revo's. I think I'm gonna put some 60degree tapers on them and use some wobble nuts (as the revo's are mini fitment) and spigot rings. But I did get this done today :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPTmYvr1CC0 more video's to come :D
