    Ryan's Micra Blog

Take off the wheel weights if they're on the face of the wheel, that's an awful practice that should've been left in the 90s with steel wheels and just get stick on weights put on inside the barrel. The valves will be replaced with the tyres so paint away if you're getting all the tyres changed...

    bumblebee 1999 inspiration 1.3 2020 rework

My nodspeed one is currently the one in best condition but without the bushes it's useless, my whiteline one has welded itself together and my gizfab one has rusted so much the threads are stripped off so I really need to machine some bushes

    Introductions and a Request

I think most of us never anticipated how much of an obsession we would end up with with micras so we're all on the same level here. No intakes fit straight up, Toyota 4efe ones fit (there's a few different types from different years and models) and gizfab is definitely your best bet for high...

    Idle Tensioner

The idle tensioner just pushes on the back of the belt, please don't say you've put the belt on inside out with the grooves facing away from the pulleys

    Matiz 1994 SuperS a.k.a TommyKaira March R#OST

I've seen either mk1 or mk2 Ford focus springs used for the rear (might be different ratings used for hatchback/saloon/estate) and I use saab 93 rear shock absorbers myself, just need the same treatment as corsa rear socks with the bottom bush needing to be trimmed

    Wrap around spoiler installation

You won't need a hole saw, it's probably a 10 or 12mm drill bit and will fit in a standard half inch chuck

what did you do to your micra today ?

I remember Clarkson making fun of that, by comparing the e-type bonnet to a **** and then bringing up the edsel

    Wrap around spoiler installation

It's a pretty big hole and definitely larger than the bolt, and the nuts have big washers on them too

KYB Excel G gas shocks part numbers and availability

Generally front shocks are exactly the same, bar the brake pipe bracket being in a different place left and right. For example, on micras the brake pipe bracket is on the front side of the shock as the caliper is towards the front of the car. Other than that, there's no difference

    Introductions in Order

That mileage isn't too bad, a service is always the first thing to do with a new car and replace oil and filters everywhere. I just buy bits individually myself, haven't bought any service kits. With the handbrake, the cables could be stretched or the rear brake shoes could be very worn. I...
