you can check when its warm. just give it at least 10 minutes after a drive to allow the oil to sink back to the sump.

take a look at my blog. i've pretty much sprayed the whole dash & centre console. Took me a few days to do it all, and i did it all in my back garden with halfords spray cans. Plastic primer, and matt black. 5 or 6 light coats should do it. Clear coat is ment to make it more durable but I didn't...

Maybe ill carry a 5l jerry can in the boot and run the car dry. When it stops i'll top it up and full tank and see how much goes in.

Ok then....what's the lowest that you've got the needle to drop before running out of fuel?? When mine was on the empty line I full tanked it and most it would take in was just under 30 litres. Could be that the needle isn't accurate and I might have had another 10 or so litres of fuel to use...

I'm getting around 44mpg trying to drive it sensibly. Which is about 250 miles to a full tank. No motorways.

Thats almost as identical as mine used to be when I first got it, with the exception of the paint colour. I'm looking forward to seeing what you will do with this one.
