X3 Excel coolant bottle into Micra

Hi folks, new here, just purchased my car yesterday.

Anyway, my coolant bottle had a massive hole in the top. I got a friend who works in the parts game to price me up a new one - $139, ex Melbourne. Hmmm..that's not gonna happen.

I went to visit a wrecker mate, and after looking at his stock, I grabbed a bottle from an X3 Excel. It cost 10 bucks, so who cares if it doesn't fit...but with a couple of brackets made, it does!

the k11 im looking at has a similar problem,
the x3 bottle looks better than the duct tape on it
at the moment.

If you do it, the Micra hose has a larger ID than the X3 one, so you need to leave an inch of the X3 hose on the radiator side of the coolant tank cap, and then push the Micra hose over that. A load of rubber grease, and a touch of brute force and stupidity does the trick.
