wont rev up

right well mays well start by telling you i have a cg13 in a classic mini and when i was driving it the other night it cut out on me, after looking under the bonnet i noticed a nut had fell off the selonoid which all my electrics fit to so i put another nut on and thought problem solved but after driving another few hundred yards it bogged down and cut out again, it will start fine but it wont rev it just takes a load air and cuts out. when i take the air filter off and cover half or the intake by hand it revs ok which makes me think its my tb
any ideas? its a 1999 engine on a 93 998 loom and ecu

anybody? it no longer revs at all even when half the intake in covered, iv changed the tb and no change what so ever... really stuck now

fuel pressure brad ? have you tried a drop of fuel down the t/b ?

yeah and it did rev up, could that be a blocked filter or something? cheers for the reply frank

if it only runs when primed with fuel then its gotta be a fuel supply problem brad, any pressure at the rail ? injectors spraying or clicking ?

i'll have a look first thing tomorrow iv got work in a minute, its weird that it only started happening once my electrics came undone and cut out :S
