wire gauge

does anyone know what gauge the wire is that comes out of the ecu, going to be installing new dials w/ tacho and using seb_s guide but want to know what gauge wire it is so i can get a decent appearance...even though you cant see it ;-)

also, should i fuse the wire dont think i need to as the ecu will have its own fuse surely

i wouldn't fuse it personally. would of thought the thickness of standard speaker wire would do? don't really know gauges to be fair.
and make sure you have your battery disconnected before hand. just in case.

yeah i know about disconnecting battery negative etc. didnt think i needed a fuse just being paranoid really my old ones decided that the tacho would stop working for no reason other than it got burnt out by the wire running from the dizzy.

i was thinking about speaker cable or a 1mm diameter wire
