My 2001 micra activ is showing all the faults you expect from a faulty throttle body. My mechanic says it looks as if it might have already had a d-i-y replacement. I hear that Nissan changed from the JESC or Mikuni type to the Bosch throttle body about this model year, so I am wondering if the previous owner used the wrong type?
The mechanic will only order a brand new list price part for it at about £700, but is willing to fit one I source off Ebay or whatever at my risk. So I need to be sure I'm ordering the right one, bearing in mind the current one might be the wrong one.
I can't do any work on this myself as I now have psoriatic arthritis in my fingers, and I am also recovering from a major cancer operation.
Your advice would be most appreciated!
Sorry if this has been covered before, I've searched the forums and not found the answer.
