Wheel sizes

I've got a 51 K11 s and It only has the stock 14" wheels on. Due to the credit crunch (or the fact I'm a half arsed part time working bum) I can't afford alloys or the insurance blast that will come with them for a 19 year old. I was thinking about going to the scrappies and finding some 15" steelies and polish/paint them up to make them look tidy.
What wheels would fit? Am I looking for any specific car or do most sizes vary?
Help would be appreciated

make sure it's has 4 stud, pcd 100 and centre bore at least 58.8mm

How would I find all of those out?

take wheel off and measure with a ruler or vernier caliper

look at wheel sizing on wiki

Thought centre bore needed to be 59.1mm for K11 and 60.1mm for K12.

thats what it was on my front & rear hubs

there has to be some clearance around the centrebore so that the tapered nuts can centralise the wheel when tightened (the old mk1 and 2 escort rostyles used to be a snug fit tho, and we usually had to whack them off with a sledge hammer )

jonny i had the same problem as you
so i went to a scrappy and got 4 nissan 13" alloys and 4 good tyres for £50
