i've been looking around for my micra but whats the s?i want a1.3 3 door 16v micra. is the micra s a 16v? whats the different ones that come? i went to a dealer and he hada 1.4 16v which i would hav taken if it wasnt a 5 door, and the 3 door was a 1.0 16v-typical!
 
all k11s are 16V, not sure bout the k10. Basically you have ur lower end models as the L's etc then you have the super S and the SR, have electirc windows etc... If possible you wanna go for the Super s or SR. The 1.4 was a special edition sporty one, from what ive heard its quite hard to modify not sure why but still. You wanna try and get a 1.3 SR or super S. Higher specs basically - Aslo check both the sills and the front member for rust
 
All K11s are 16 valve, all K10s are 8 valve.

From about 2000 onwards Nissan brought out the 1.4 (pretty much based on their 1.3) and released the 1.4 SE, SE+, Sport and Sport+ (all 3 door I think)

As for 1.3s, there are a variety of models including a lot of special editions such as "Vibe". The only model i know thats exclusively 5 door is the SLX.
 
thanx i didnt know that all k11s were 16v! my clio is a 1.2 so i dont want a 1l. if it says 1.3 s then i should get it? its proving really hard 2 get a 1.3 i want a near new one anyway, my clio at the mo is a 94 m reg n i love it 2 bits but its a 5 door and iv had it 4 a year - since it got broken into, ive not modified it any more. id like something newer. the micras i viewed were x and y 02 reg. stunning condition-in the reg vardy showroom but ive been warned about them. i liked the white one! my clio is white so i have to follow suit! i've been looking and looking for a black one though(tinted windows are less obvious on a dark car) i had to take them off the front windows of my clio cus of it being white, they looked really dark...ok they were 5% tint all round-they were dark!:blush: if not black i'd settle for the deep purple one, its a nice colour.:laugh:

Vibes are 1l :p
If you are going to kit it up, then any decent 1.3 3-door should do you, the only advantage of the super s/sr is the seats, tacho and ECU, all of which can be swapped over
 
D'oh, my bad! Name a 1.3 one then ;)

As for the black K11s, they do look lovely, for example the 1.3 SR:
