Check if it's had it's chain changed for a new one
(Non stretchy type )
Also, there were reports when the k12 first came out of dodgy electrics, so check everything electrical works. That includes the power steering
As with any car, if it's been looked after you shouldn't have major problems
Check it's general condition, are the seats torn? Is the bodywork covered in scratches and dings? Are the arch linings in one piece?
Has the spare wheel/Tool kit been used? Is it even present?
Do an Mot history check at the .gov website (you'll need the reg and a ref number from an mot certificate or the v5)
Has it failed an mot at one place then passed at a different one?
Bar the dent by the fuel filler flap, she looks rather good.
Check mots to verify mileage, seems a very good deal.
Perhaps too good, if you know what I mean.
Just remember the S is only one up from the base model (E)
The pictures didn't do justice to how rough she was, damage right down the drivers side and the interior, although clean , the seat covers were all 'bobbled' and away from the frame. Needless to say we never got further than that lol
On a positive note we managed to buy a 2003 1.0 E with 40k , in really good nick inside and out, MOT for 10 months with no advisories, one owner from new for £1k.
