What Gearbox?

okay, I now think its the gearbox that's dying by degrees, so I have a question: Is there any advantage in fitting a GA14 gearbox to my late CG10 over a replacement K11 gearbox e.g. stronger, better cruising ratios etc? Or should I just get a stock box?

Did some digging. It seems the Almera N15 1.4 uses the same gearbox (RS5F30A) as the late Micra K11 does. The bigger shock was the fact it's fitted to the N16 1.5, too! I'll leave this here for a while, in case it comes in handy.....

The MA, CG and GA bell housing patterns are the same so all gearboxes are interchangeable

I was just shocked the 30A was STILL used on the Almera! Is it used in the 1.2 K12, does anyone know? It's handy to know what you can use from what car to keep your own running
