probably if its a highly tuned car,ye it would make a slight difference,,

but i dont think it would on a micra,,and im not even sure wot it does,,because the battery doesn't do anything whilst the car is running

Looks like it might be some kind of grounding system or secondary battery/capacitor? Search for raizin. Im sure I saw a few of these in cars at the fast and modified car show in edinburgh. It looks more like they help your audio more than anyting.
