What does this indicator on the clock/milage/fuel indicator mean?

What does this indicator at the top left on the clock/milage/fuel indicator mean?
Looks like a keyhole with two horiz bars underneath it

Looks like a gear stick. Does an arrow appear next to it when at high revs? If yes, it’s a shift indicator telling you you should shift up for best fuel economy.

Ah yes. Even mentions that in the manual (but in the Starting a driving section, not the instruments section)
