what do you think about respray / prices

hi , i have a 1985 micra k10 the only problem with it is the colour. its a gold colour and to be honest it looks like a horrible brown from far away. i was wondering how much people paid for a respray on their micra, or any car if they have!? i dont mind if it was just the exterior spray but i want to change the colour then my car will look beautiful. any ideas? i need help to find out some reasonable prices and whether it is worth doing. i dont really want to spend loads like 1.5K or anything because the car isnt worth that much. cheers adam

With a decent respray will come cost. Trouble is, people are always looking for the cheapest price, that could mean a half arsed effort and a poor result. Your probably looking in the region of 600-1000 pounds for a decent all over spray. Trouble is, the K10 in the eyes of the insurance is worth half that, it just comes down to how much the car is worth in your eyes!
