Universal power window kit. Forever problems...

Hi guys, I'm new to the micra club after just purchasing one for my girlfriend as a first car. Needs abit of tender loving care but shes solid.

My aim is aswell as making sure it spot on, is to modernise it alittle. Things like power windows, remote central locking etc etc
Has anyone had any experience with the universal kits? I've fitted the entire thing and have come to a stand still as to giving them a 12v feed. I tryed splicing into the switch 12v feed for the audio equipment but it was drawing to much power and blow the fuse.
Wiring diagram showed the audio harness being 30amp when infact it's 15. Facepalm. while the motors had power but were not being operated, the stereo wouldnt switch on and the buttons on the clock wouldnt do anything.

Doesnt anyone know the best place to splice into and/or why the clock starting acting up?
Also have to run a feed for the central lock.

Cheers
keeton

You can get a kit on ebay with all the parts you need, its a relatively easy job...not too bad for the wallet either!:)

With regards to central locking I got a fantastic kit of right click which also looks very neat in the door.... I have a picture some where if you want one :)... with the wiring... some people may frown but both my electric windows and remote locking run straight of the battery with in line fuses... ive not had a problem atall :) x

Run relays inline, tap off the ciggie lighter socket to power the coils.

Me..... never :p a fine selection of spade conectors, chocolate blocks....... and a light switch :L only the best ehh x
