Tyres and alloys

What size tyres and alloys do you people reccomend?

was thinking about some 15inch ones although I believe you can fit 17's on is this correct?

i got 15's with 195, 45, tires.
a lot of people have 185 and a bit of a bigger profile but i love my tires lol
i know 17's fit but dont know how much room, depends on how wide they are too.
They do fill the arches much better if the car isnt lowered much too.
but id go for 15's mate much better and cheaper too!!

It depends on what you want from the modification, 15" with 195/45 tyres look really good and make the car feel better in corners due to less sidewall flex, but they do slow acceleration and top speed down a bit, 14" rims with either 185/55 or 185/50 tyres will give you more or less the same feel in corners but you wont lose as much acceleration or speed as with the 15" rims.

I dont want to spend too much on them, cheapest Ive seen is £230 with Yokohama Tyres but then theres £20 shipping, they are 195 50 15s mind you they want £40 more for the 195 45 15s.

I used to run some 195/50s on mine and it was ok but I never really got the handling I was after. Recently been running some 17" wheels and it handles like it's on rails but also cuts about 15-20mph of my top speed.
