hi, can anybody give me some advice on this problem? i have a 2002 K11 manual with only 43K miles on it,when u get up to around 50mph in 5th, there starts what i can best describe as a whining noise which seems to stay until the car hits around 70 or so when it gets less. it completely disappears when the clutch is put in and the car allowed to coast so im thinking must be transmission or gearbox related. ive had the gear change spring replaced and the linkage shimmed and tightened up, gear changes are all nice and smooth. im used to micras cos i did 100k in my last K11, and though it had the loose gearchange linkage, it was a very quite runner so summats up; seen various suggestions, gearbox bearing, worn gears etc, just wondered if anyone had similar issue? thanks dave
