throttle body

Hi people on the wiring to my throttle body of my micra k11 something has been by passed, does anyone know why someone would have done this.

I had mine a short while before noticing the harness to the maf was not connected ... and the engine check light did not work !!!

so I replaced the bulb and it "lit up " ...reconnected the maf and the car ran very poorly .... 2 faults or co incidence ???

Is running a n14 throttle body a big job? Also is it bolt on and play or changing wierig ect a hassel.

the GA16 bolt footprint is the same as the pre2000 CG matthew, and the t/p/s and m/a/f plugs are the same, but the idle control setup is very different (and clashes with the fuelrail)
we usually remove the 2 GA idle control valves, and i cut the CG one off and fitted it remotely
