Third brake light removal..

I have recently tinted my rear lights and side repeaters. I was just wondering how I would go around removing my third brake light so I can tint that also?
I have a '99 1.0 K11 Inspiration.
Any help is appreciated.

unbolt it. I took mine off permanently.

Does it matter for the MOT? Like will it still pass @1275

Mine's been through about 5 MOT's without it, almost certain it isn't required. I think the cars look wider without it.
