A few weeks ago I posted a thread asking for information on how to rectify this obvious design fault which delivers water into the drivers side sill! I did get help from fellow members which was much appreciated, i also remembered a thread how to do the mod. With the information gained I undertook the task to re-direct the drainage hose and water away from the sill without major modding. I decided to extend the drainage hose which is routed down the drivers side A pillar into the sill, i added and silicone glued a length of high quality medical hose to the existing drainage hose and fed this through the existing sill weep hole which worked well!
The following pics show how I completed the task.
The drivers side plastic trim removed revealing the drainage hose:
The sill weep hole the new exit for the extended drainage hose!
Using the good old wire coat hanger technique to pull through the extended drainage hose!
Existing weep hole cap drilled to take the new extended drainage hose which is trimmed, sealed and clued to the weep hole cap job done!
Hope the pics make some sense explaining a easy mod that could potentially save major corrosion problems!
Cheers
