Tailgate strut

Hi,

Can anyone anyone recommend some tailgate struts? I brought some off eBay for about £10 a piece and they were okay for 1 year but are now too weak and especially with this cold snap at the moment the tailgate is failing on my head! Should I just buy Nissan for these?

go to the scrap yard and get about 10 for £10

I'm convinced that the answer is to find a modern strut (even if its not from a tail gate) and mod it/them on....

Im trying to solve this too.....If I find a decent method I'll post it on DIY section

will the struts off a k11 not fit?(he says hopefully?) cos i am having the same trouble.:down:

not sure...I was gonna investigate the 'torsion bars' method....(WTS)

god damn corners! even without the parcel shelf attached it falls and it hurts so bad definatley got me 3 times at least!
