Tachometer wiring

Hi all, got myself a used tacho but have no idea what the wires from the tacho should connect to? For instance i dont know which wire is the ground wire....

The little sticker on the back reads 'for 12V negative ground'

Also no idea what the two metal studs on either side are for? Shown below

Any help?

The studs are just for mounting bud

Is it illuminated?

You'll need I think green to coil negative wire, which is light green/black on the car from the coil plug

Black near ur green wire will be earth

Red near green wire 12v switched live


Wires in the other grommet on the dial black negative red 12v switched live for the dial illumination

Guessed black was earth and red live, just had no idea what green could be...

Normally black is negative and red is live so green should be earth. ..

Id imagine that one of the red is for live and other is for light( like when you turn dash lights on) and the Green is signal. Black is of course negative
