Super S Carbon Canister

Hi i have today fitted my super s engine into my LS car. i have everything i require as i had a donour car. the only thing i dont no is the pluming on the 'Carbon Canister' i no all of the pipes on the top of it but there is one bigger one underneath and i havent got the foggiest idea of where it went or needs to go, or what it does.

can someone please advise me on it.

Or alternatively can it be removed???

if i remeber it goes through a hole and drains to the floor

i wouldnt bother with the carbon canister just remove it and join the nessescary pipes together, you wont see no gain or losses from removing it just tidys up the engine bay
