Steering issue?

Evening.

Just a quick question really.

Last few days driving my car the steering has felt really light. No clunks or bangs and the wheels, ball joints, suspension etc etc all feel solid.

I know I need to change my brakes as the are now squealing every time I brake.

Just hoping one of you will know before I take it into the garage for a better look.

check power steering fluid. if its low, it could be overheating and very thin..... could give "light" steering feel.....

just an electric motor at the bottom of the steering column i guess tom

Checked the fluid and its fine.. Im well and truly stumped. Could it be the PS pump??

i doubt if there is a pump, have you checked for any faultcodes ?

Nope I haven't yet. But I've got it booked in Monday for a check up. Seem to have acquired a new exhaust rattle that believe is from the heat shield. Anyone know how many the K12 has?

Did you ever find out what was making your steering so light, I'm currently having the same problem with my 06 micra sport and have no idea what's wrong
