Steearing Boots

Folks my Micanic told me that both my front Steering Rubber Boots are damaged and needs replacements,

My Questions On this ??

01. What damage would it have on my Micra if i do not replace it??

02. As of Now i am having a problem with my Power Stering and at some times i loose total power stearing from the car when the car is in a Hill area.. Does the damged Steering Rubber Boots have an impact on this ..

Further more my car is 2001 Micra and Power Stering fluid is in perfect condition.

Pls advice me on this

No the rubbers will not effect your power steering it will just let dirt and crap in the joints and will wear parts quicker. Its a cheap job that anyone can do.

Go and find a new mechanic mate he sounds like a cockhead. Honestly what kind of mechanic does not know if you need PS fluid or not.
