I helped a workmates wife today as her Micra wouldnt start. Its a 1 litre on an 'X' plate with the facelifted style (coilpack engine).
The engine cranked over for ages (engine check light went out immediately at start of cranking) before it started (probably 20 to 30 seconds of continuous cranking) The cranking pace was fluctuating as if there was slight signs of life. When the car started the revs were extremly low and it took feathering of the throttle to get it to idle at normal revs. A quick run around the block and it seemed ok?
My hunch would be fuel starvation?, has anyone any ideas i can try if she calls again tomorrow. I believe the car isn't overdue a service but i cant say for sure.
