Speedo problems: needle is all over the place

Hi fellaz

I am new to the forum and new to solving these issues. My 1993 Micra LX speedo started to act funny - needle would jump and show 80/90/zillion miles while you drive at 20/30 mph. this is different to some of the problems described by other users as the needle is not sticking but rather moves randomly.

I will appreciate if you would bear with me and suggest possible problems.
