Hi, my 1999 micra 1.0 speedo went intermittently strange, just straight dropping to zero, along with the temp gauge and the fuel meter. Shortly following this it permanently stopped working unless it was heavily raining.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm a lazy funk and couldn't be arsed... But I have an mot coming up (a month ago) so I'd better get it sorted.
I thought it might be a loose connection, but the connection is fine. When I plug it in the dials spark to life and then drop, so the needles are working. Also, the dash lights are all fine.
My lack of tech know how leaves me a bit lost but...
The physical machine must be converted to a digital cable as the connections on the dash are digital (voltage), but this conversion hides behind the dash wall and I don't know how to get to it.
Anyone had this issue before?
