hey im not very mechanically minded lol but was wondering what would be the most cost effective way (without destroying the exhaust or muffler) to get a nice loud deep sound from the micra

On my car i have removed the standard airbox completly and bolted a k&N cone filter directly to the throttle body (universal cone filter is just as good), and that gives a nice deep sound on full throttle, even nicer going though a tunnel

ok cheers. would i be able to fit it myself and are filters expensive?

would janspeed parts make a good differnce? anyone done anything to theirs?

loggie, a 2nd decat makes it louder (for instance, fitting a 1.4 middle pipe)

almera airbox, janspeed decat, backbox makes a good sound and a decent increase too
