can any body give me a basic out line on wireing a amp speaker combo,my daughter has got a SPL X sub ,2 x 250watt /9 x6 speakers; longmill amp.
no wiring diagrams or instructions.
I have to low level inputs on amp do these conect to the radio ect, do I connect amp straight to battery with in line fuse?
then theres the speaker out put,1 left - 1right 3 speakers? inc sub, can some one give me some pointers>

p.s. very slow on this thing so dont hold yur breath for a quick answer,to any questions.

buy an amp wiring kit from autoshop eg halfords... should come with:
black ground wire (thick)
red batt wire (fused thick)
lightblue remote power wire (thin goes to head unit)
dark blue audio rca (headunit to amp)
sub audio wire (thick)
also buy wiring for 6x9's direct from headunit....

i have assumed its a 2channel amp...

cheers got the wires as well ,let me just make sure ive got it right.Thick B & R from battery to amp.
the blue wire with the jack plugs go from the head, to the amp input.

my 6 x9 come off the head unit?there r all ready speakers in the door running off this will that matter ?
then all I connect to the amp is the sub?
how do I know if its 2channel ,there r 2 adj dials HPF LPF

You will have four outputs from the amp (left & right +ve and -ve).
If you are running the amp through it then you will need to select LPF to filter out the higher end.
You can earth it under the rear seat mounting point to save a long wire to the battery, just remember to scratch some of the paint away to get a good connection.
Is it a standard head unit? If it is then you will most likely need to get a new one with outputs for rear speakers, I cannot really remember.
It is a straightforward job once you have got the hang of it, but remember to send power and signal wires down different sides of the car.
