Very little info for you guys right now,
Nissan Silvia S12 1.8t - Getting it tomorrow hopefully as part of a swap with Mck and his amazing micra.
Fingers crossed we should be able to restore it back to life either with the standard
SOHC 8 valve engine or get another one from an S13 which is DOHC 16 valve.
Producing 120hp and 169hp respectively.
Will put up some pics as soon as it arrives as for now all i have is these:

Well after seeing it for the first time in daylight today i can tell you it needs a proper spray job so will be looking into colours. As you can tell it wasn't always white or black lol
Candy blue seems nice

I am determined to get it fixed up and running so definately a CA18DET transplant is needed. :wasntme:
Bodywork is in good condition apart from a dead arch (rust)
someone painted the rubber trim around the windows, Why?!

Apparantly the CA18DET is a direct swap from the CA18ET same mounts etc. Would be nice if you could find out a price for me

Not for a while yet but need to work towards something.

Are you still looking for a ca18det? have you tried the sxoc they tend to go for next to nothing on there as the sr generally has preference

I've not seen a CA18 on the sxoc for a while tbh. Seen them go for cheap though, Fuller was getting rid of one for £50.

looking forward to fitting my 'New' rear lights tomorrow and tidying up the inside a little whilst i sit in wait for an engine.
Been browsing the SXOC and it appears there is very little anywhere about the S12 but loads of S13 engines
Just need one to come through more recent a bit closer (moneywise & distance) then can get on with it.

Well just sorted out a signature for there and made my newB post.

Update:
Managed to get the car turned around in the garage today and cleared out the boot.
Took 45mins lol tyres are flat brakes slightly seized where it has been sitting
Love the front end of this car reminds me of the K10 era. :blush:

Now all that i REALLY need to do is find an engine and swap it over. Having no leccy in or near my garage is gonna prove to be a pain in the rear end once again.

Good news for the car Bad news for the wallet:

For £350 i will be gettingexedy clutch, turbo, ecu, engine harness, turbo elbow, alternator, power steering pump, viscous fan, brand new gates belts, fuel pump and a few other bits just need some relays for the ecu etc. and a battery and i should be rolling... well sort of.

It has the exact same mounts and as far as i am aware the gearbox fits perfectly
She is gonna be so lovely one day!
