service parts,advice please.

hi all,

going to give my 1litre k10 a quick service next weekend.have not serviced this car before,so any quirks for the k10?

oil(any particular grade,how much oil does it take...?)
oil filter
air filter
spark plugs.

any brands to avoid for these items?

Castrol oils will be fine. if you go into halfords, they'll have a booklet with the parts you need to get. What grade of oil, 10/40 i think it is and champion filter. If you buy a K&N element filter, you'll never have to throw it away - just clean it (cheaper in the long run too). NGK plugs, frauds sell them too.

Fuel filter, they're quite cheap and are supposed to be replaced every 12 months/18000 miles.

cheers,ended up servicing one of my other cars this weekend. will also change fuel filter too. love k10's,really want to keep this one onthe road long term.

how often do u have to service these little rockets. at what stages do the big services need to be done? and what is involved.
