seat belt question...

quick question what is the coil inside the seat belt for? theres a plastic cover that says do not undo, i un-did it and the metal coil spring thing flew out lol...is it import and waht does it do? if its not import my seat belt is ok, if its not ive nakcered 2 seat belts lol??

oh dear get some new seat belts mate it is what stops the seat belts from stoping you from jolting forward in a crash if you get what i mean
