scored alloys :S ???

basiclly, took one of my wheels off my car yesterday to do some work on the droplinks, and notcied the back of the alloy has a score mark all the way around it! its taken it back to the alloy. i dont know what has caused this.

the wheels have been on with gtir calipers (swapped around back to front now hence why it came off the rear) and i thought the calipers have been rubbing agianst the alloy? yet these alloys are 15's and i never had this problem with my 14's? :S so somthing is not right? also the cailpers sit quite far back in the alloys. so it could possiably be the gtir calipers with these wheels?

maybe a stone or something got trapped between the caliper and the wheel for a moment?

dont think its the caliper wrong place on the wheel, if it were inside then id say it was, may be part of the suspension or the link arms or something?
