Rust

Hiya,

Yet another girlie question....sorry. :wasntme:

Anyway.....have a couple of stone chips an my bonnet, which I've decided to touch in. I have the touch up pen, but the chips look like they might be starting to get rusty. Presume I need to use some sort of treatment to stop it and/or prep the surface first. What should I use? Kurust rocks, get it from halfords, cheaper (by me anyway) I tend to sand an area and treat and re-spray but it's on the bonnet, if you can remove some of the surface rust do so then dab on the Kurust, doesn't effect paint (not that I've noticed) and leave, I do this 3-4 times to make sure

if stone chips havent rusted paint over straight away, if anythings rusting in the car kurust defo helps sort if out

I got similar stuff in the end, from Motorworld....couldn't be bothered to go all the way to Halfrauds. The one I've got is made by Loctite. Same sort of thing though. Got me some masking and some little brushes too. Was gonna have a go this afternoon, but it's started to rain now.
