I'd just like to confirm my suspicions and get a bit of advice before I get my spanners out of possible please.
I've just bought a £100 06 plate Micra 1.2 Initia. It's got 117k miles on the clock and hasn't been particularly well maintained and was off the road for about 6 months prior to purchase.
I've given it new oil, oil filter and air filter, but have found that once it's warmed up, the engine runs very lumpily, with erratic idle, no power at low revs and plenty of kangarooing.
It runs perfectly when cold though.
I've been reading about throttle body issues with these cars so am about to remove that and clean it, but there is also talk of the need to re-solder something. Can anyone shed light on that, please - I can't find a post about exactly what needs to be done.
Also any other wisdom would be appreciated!
