Reverse light not switching on

Hi Everyone

The reverse light on my nissan micra k12 is not switching on. I've tried changing reverse light switch. Still not on. I've checked voltage on the right side bulb and it is 1 volt. However on the left side it is 12 volts. Please anyone have an idea what could be the issue?

The LHS light is working but the right hand side is not. I've checked the voltage and it's one volt. Don't know why is the voltage so low

1V on the right hand side light?
Could be dodgy wiring earthing somewhere, dodgy relay connection(? but if the LHS one is working then I'm not sure), dodgy bulb/holder?
If one of them is working, there's probably a bad connection somewhere along the line I'd have thought?
