ok ive got a Digital Rev Counter and since i connected my alarm to it (for remote start) and disconnected the alarm from it its acting wierd. at idle its at 450RPM!! thats like ermm impossible i think. All connections are tight. Have i blown something in the RPM reader or should i check the voltage for the cable 1-6v should be dependent on revs.

Yes Gary it will.. its based on the same principle afaik...
Go outside with a torch - its a 2 second job... tell us what the crack is..

I used to idle so low the car shuck pretty bad, any lower and it would stall, try adjusting the cable to the TB, I've done mine so it idles enough that there's no shaking even when the stereo is on full
